2021 Ford Bronco Leaked!

April 6th, 2020 by

If you’ve been paying as close of attention as we have, you’ve probably seen the Ford Bronco and Baby Bronco (better known as the Bronco Sport) leaks surfacing all over the internet. Yes, it feels like we’ve been waiting 24 years for its return… oh wait, we have. The Bronco may have left the market a couple years after starring in one of the most televised police-chases in history, but it never left our hearts.

The infamous off-road nameplate is back in business and ready to give its competitors a run for their money. Set to compete with the Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner, and other adventure-seeking SUV’s, the new Bronco is said to be a no-nonsense, body-on-frame 4×4 designed to dare the toughest of terrains. If you’re looking for solid front and rear axels, the Bronco checks that box. Oh, you want a removable roof and two-door option? It checks those too.

Unlike the revived Chevrolet Blazer, the Bronco is staying true to its heritage. Forget the crossover look. The Bronco is playing the nostalgia card and sticking to its boxy build. (Well played, Ford, well played.)  A tapered roof and a spare wheel mounted out back shouts “Anything Wranglers can do, Broncos can do better.”

In early March, a 10-color palette was leaked–several of which are very familiar with the blue-oval lineup.  ( Bronco’s alleged color palette leaked,) the Mustang’s Race Red and Oxford White, the general Ford range’s Iconic Silver, and the Mustang Mach-E‘s Carbonized Gray , while there are a number of new colors in Cyber Orange, Antimatter Blue, and Figher Jet Gray.

What’s Under The Hood? Well, our best bet is on an EcoBoost engine—especially since Ford gifted one to the Raptor off-roader and GT supercar. Motor1 found a leak from Canadian Tire hints at a 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit, which produces 270 horsepower (201 kilowatts) and 310 pound-feet (420 Newton-meters) of torque in the Ranger, paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid Bronco is a real possibility, as is a rugged Bronco Raptor with a V8.

Be on the lookout for the official reveal later this month!
